Bangles…make a wrist elegant

Tagged Under : , , , , , , , ,

glass-bangle3 Thinking of eastern jewelry, the first thing that clicks our mind is bangles. Bangles are the sign of femininity and they make a delicate and jingling personality that sounds attractive.Wearing bangles is liked by almost every girl, women even old ladies are mostly seen with bangles in their wrists. Bangles are worn on special occasions and functions because they add beauty to overall outfit and makes the wrist graceful. when every movement of hand produce jingling noise with tussle of bangles it attracts the attention of others that’s why the “chooree kee khanak” is mostly concerned with romance. Now days in big cities we come across big and beautiful shops of bangles where we can see bangles of differret variety, designs and colours, and sizes. Some are simple while some are with beads and ribbons on them in order to attract more attention and make them elegant.
a1 Whether it’s a marriage, Eid, birthday party or any other function you folk will see almost all the females with beautifying and elegant handcrafted bangles with matching to their dresses. You will see no bride without bangles no doubt it may vary in design and quality. Most of the brides like to wear gold bangles with different styles like it may be 6 or 8 bangles, or it may be with combination of karas. Some like to wear delicate bracelets. Now days, brides like to wear matching glass bangles in one hand and gold material in other hand. Similarly before eid, the shopping of females start with clothes, footwear but on chand raat the shopping ends with buying matching bangles and mehandi. In India bangles are sign of love because when a lady comes to know that her husband is no more in this world, she breaks her bangles with first cry.
kara3 Bangles are a source of gift also on different occasions. Girls especially are fond of wearing bangles and it’s a felicity for them if they find bangles in surprise, I personally feel happy on sight of beautifully embellished bangles in surprise.

Traditional mehandi

Tagged Under : , , , , , , , , ,

mehndidesignsMehandi is the Indian word for henna and it is known as the art of applying mehandi. The art of henna or mehandi is an ancient tradition almost 5000 years reverse but it is known today almost in every country. mehandi is used to make temporary designs on the hands and feet of women. Traditionally it was popular for its medicinal benefits. mehandi is made from the herb called henna. The leaves of the plant are used for mehandi while rest of the plant is useful for other purposes. mehandi is used for hair conditioning and dyeing also, besides enhancing the beauty of body parts. Henna paste or mehandi is used on different occasions including wedding ceremonies and religious festivals. Frequently it is used for burns, foot care treatment, bruises and headaches etc.
To make mehandi patterns need some artistic hands. I am not of the opinion that only artistic hands can make designs but to make attractive and pretty looks we need professional artist’s hand. On wedding ceremonies the brides in order to look gorgeous and different from others, are made ready by professional parlors. Professional artists can make Arabic designs, Indian designs and African designs and many more depending on choices and demands of customers. mehandi designs may be complicated or simple, minute or small, whatever may be the design, it always enhance beauty to a person. A variety of traditions describes the use of mehandi including games and legends. For example the name of bridegroom is written somewhere in the complicated pattern of bride’s hand and groom is supposed to find his name, if he cannot find then bride is supposed to dominate over the groom. Similarly, the dark co lour on the hand of bride shows the strong relationship of newly spouse.
